You may have heard that Interactive Media Lab has moved to a new location at 124 North First Street. It’s just a couple of blocks north of our old offices but wow what a difference a small move can make.
We are now in our own building without other tenants giving us a little more sense of place than we had before. The top picture is of the exterior of our building with the signage that will be installed at the beginning of July Photoshopped in.
As you enter you are met with a very large space surrounded on two sides with balconies in front of office spaces, video post production suites and our audio suite.
The space to the right on the first floor is our event presentation area. We can seat 50 people here comfortably and with projection and audio speaker support built-in the space is ready for use even with the shortest notice. We are offering the use of the presentation area to our clients and local business and non-profit organizations free of charge to build our relationships, increase traffic in our new offices and generate more awareness about IML.
To the left of the main entrance is our lounge. This area is great for pre and post event networking over drinks at the bar or viewing the latest IML multimedia work in a relaxed environment.
Beyond the lounge, separated by a movable wall is our conference room.
On the first floor you will also find our state of the art server room hosting many client websites and networking all of our multimedia assets together for distribution.
Moving up the spiral staircase you arrive on the second floor where most of our offices can be found. This area is also home to two fully equipped HD video editing suites. Our audio design suite is also found here with both engineering areas and a recording studio. Special attention was given to ensure that these suites are very user friendly providing comfortable working spaces for producers, directors, agencies and clients.
The third floor in the IML building contains a 1,500 square foot video production studio with a permanent lighting grid and sound control. IML can accommodate shooting in this space or on location as needed.
Needless to say, we’re very excited about our new home. It reflects our personality, provides room for growth and is wired and equipped to tackle whatever technology throws at us in the future.
